The Ichthys LNG plant and associated facilities, including the Accommodation Village at Howard Springs, are being built by JKC Australia LNG Pty Ltd on behalf of INPEX in joint venture with major participant Total and Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Chubu Electric and Toho Gas.
Modular construction is being used to assemble the processing facilities, with the modules being transported to Blaydin Point Darwin by sea.
In order to offload modules at the Blaydin Point Module Offloading Facility (MOF), JKC will be using a Transition Pontoon.
The Transition Pontoon is required to have measures and procedures in place to ensure its’ safety and security during a cyclonic event. Jeyco has successfully designed , supplied and installed a cyclone mooring in Darwin Harbour for use by the 140m long, 40m wide and 12m deep Transition Pontoon.
